Studio Pilates

Our Studio Sessions offer an individualised program that can address any specific goal and is tailored to your movement and health needs. Our equipment corrects muscle imbalances that may be causing pain or dis-ease by allowing you to engage the appropriate muscles. It constantly challenges your stability to develop balance, coordination and strength.

We focus on developing your core musculature to strengthen your body from the inside out, and a healthy mobile spine to allow ease of movement and overall well being.

Flexibility will aid your range of motion through all joints. Breathing techniques help to calm and centre your mind. Together they lead to more efficient, comfortable performance of whatever activities your life requires!

Our regular clients range from surgery rehabilitation, chronic spinal conditions, pre and post-natal, to middle-aged non-exercisers, athletes and much in between! The state of the art equipment both assists and challenges your body and the individual attention offers an exercise form to perfectly correct and improve your body, mind, movement and health.

Allowing you to move through all natural ranges of motion, your sessions will use:

  • The Reformer.
  • The Trapeze Table.
  • The Combo Chair.
  • High and Low Barrels.
  • Mat Work.
  • Fitballs, Foam Rollers, Dura Discs and other Small Apparatus.

Pregnancy Pilates

The Pilates Studio is perfectly suited to both pre and postnatal women. During pregnancy, the equipment helps guide you to maintain stability and alignment through the pelvis and back. We can individually assess any imbalances or sources of discomfort as they arise whilst also assisting you to maintain strength as your body changes.

After birth, the Pilates Studio is the safest place to return to exercise. Any abdominal muscle separation can be assessed and specifically corrected (incorrect exercise choice can actually make this worse). We can help you to regain strength and control over your pelvic floor and core and maintain mobility in your upper back, neck and shoulders, which tend to get tight holding and feeding a new baby!

Mat Pilates

Pilates Mat classes at Esprit are a fantastic way to achieve physical fitness and balanced muscle development and are very popular for overall body care and injury prevention.

Each class caters to a wide range of abilities and experience levels by offering various options to each exercise, and is suitable for beginners through to advanced movers and athletes. It is our goal to make our classes accessible and FUN for everyone!

Pilates is a full body integrative movement system designed to balance the body to perform its desired activities with maximum ability, joy and ease.

Our classes focus on:

  • Core strengthening.
  • Spinal mobility.
  • Joint stability.
  • Muscular balance and flexibility.
  • Fluidity of movement.
  • Breathing techniques.

We also incorporate small props such as therabands, blocks, rollers, tennis balls and magic circles to spice it up a bit!
Our classes are an amazing blend of physical challenge and centering relaxation. The social setting is lots of fun and you are guaranteed to finish feeling both refreshed and invigorated.

Reformer Classes

Pilates Reformer Classes give you a unique full body conditioning workout using springs as resistance. With a maximum of four people per class they offer the personalised attention of a Studio Session and the upbeat pace and fun class energy of a Mat Class.

Mums & Bubs Pilates

As mentioned earlier, Pilates is one of the safest and most effective ways to return to exercise and speed your recovery after pregnancy and childbirth. What better way than in a room of like-minded Mums?

Mums & Bubs is a fun Mat Class class that allows you to regain and improve your fitness without needing a baby sitter! Suitable for kids six weeks to five years (feel free to stop and feed any time). Benefits include muscle toning, abdominal and pelvic floor strengthening, tension release of neck, shoulders and back, and flexibility. All within a supportive, understanding, social environment!

Barre Fusion Classes

Barre Attack is a low impact, high intensity full-body workout combining standing Pilates work, short cardio intervals and dance moves. The class is accessible for everybody and all levels of fitness.
Our Barre Fusion classes also include Pilates Mat work and standing movement in the centre of the room to really challenge your stability and strength.
With Barre Fusion’s flowing sequences you will feel like your body is re-aligned, balanced and centred. Best of all you will feel more connected to your body, giving you a sense of self-confidence which can be only be ignited through the joy of movement.
This is a 45 minute class.

Corporate Pilates

Esprit offers a unique form of Pilates based group training. We are committed to developing a relationship with you and take a holistic approach to helping you reach your goals and enhance your quality of life.
