Pilates
The Pilates Studio is perfectly suited to both pre and postnatal women. During pregnancy, the equipment helps guide you to maintain stability and alignment through the pelvis and back. We can individually assess any imbalances or sources of discomfort as they arise whilst also assisting you to maintain strength as your body changes.
After birth, the Pilates Studio is the safest place to return to exercise. Any abdominal muscle separation can be assessed and specifically corrected (incorrect exercise choice can actually make this worse). We can help you to regain strength and control over your pelvic floor and core and maintain mobility in your upper back, neck and shoulders, which tend to get tight holding and feeding a new baby!
Our Private or Semi-Private Sessions can be designed specifically for each pre or postnatal mother. With a focus on core stabilisation and pelvic floor health, they use all of the Pilates equipment including Reformer, Trapeze Table, High and Low Barrels, Combo Chair and small apparatus.
